Want to know if someone blocked you on WhatsApp? Sometimes we’re chatting with someone and out of nowhere their profile picture disappears. Did the person block us?
To date, WhatsApp has not placed any specific notice that tells us that we have been blocked by a certain person. Let’s agree that it would be very useful! But there are some simple ways to find out if this has happened or not. Keep reading the post and follow the signs that may indicate this. Follow!
1- You can’t see the person’s profile picture
This is certainly one of the first signs that the alerts are already on that the person may have blocked us from WhatsApp. The application developers themselves indicate that as soon as someone blocks another, their profile picture disappears instantly.
And users who have already been blocked sometimes say this. So, if you’re sure the person changed their photo and it’s not showing up for you, most likely they’ve been blocked.
2- The person’s “Online” status is not visible
If when entering the person’s conversation you cannot view the online status or see the last time you entered the application, it is quite possible that you have been blocked.
When the person is blocked, you automatically stop seeing their status. However, with the latest app updates, some settings can be adjusted. So maybe the person just changed the privacy setting and is hiding the “last seen”, or even the “online”.
3-When you send a message, only a check mark appears
This fact can indicate whether it is blocked or not. If you send a message to someone and only one tag appears, you have possibly been blocked.
When the person was not blocked by another, when sending a message, check marks appear, which indicate that the message was sent and received successfully. Otherwise, messages will never reach the other person, and you will only see a checkmark.
4- Calls do not complete on WhatsApp
A good way to test if the person blocked you on WhatsApp is to make a call using the app.
If the blocking actually happened, all contact with that person is cut through the app, so you won’t be able to complete the call.
If you have already tested all the ways presented above and nothing worked, it can be concluded that you were really blocked. As it may also happen that you are viewing the profile picture, but in forwarded messages only a checkmark appears, it may happen that the person is without internet connection or even has the cell phone turned off.
And there are also cases where the person wants to take your profile picture for a certain amount of time or it is even possible to block which contact can or cannot view your photo. This doesn’t mean it’s blocked, it’s just some settings that can be adjusted in the app.
To finally make sure you’ve been blocked, check if all the above signs are happening. If so, then there was indeed a blockade.
